Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI is seeking a CARDIODIAGNOSTIC TECHNICIAN to join our CARDIOPULMONARY LAB team!

The Cardio-diagnostic Technician provides quality cardiac diagnostic services including ECG, heart monitor testing, patient education, operation of the MUSE application and device patient enrollment. The population served are neonates, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. This role can interpret patient information and understand treatment needs depending on the age of patients under care. This position requires close collaboration with nursing and healthcare providers. It also requires a high level of customer service skills to aid in establishing positive relationships.

HOURS: .2 FTE/16 hours every two weeks, primarily day shift with on-call rotation for "off" shifts

Experience/Qualifications

+ Completion of courses in college level physical and biological sciences and/or completion of a CNA training program or an EMT training program.

+ Six months or more experience in cardio-diagnostics.

+ Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire

+ Knowledge of basic medical terminology and use of a personal computer.

+ Completes Basic ECG class and passes with 85% or higher within one year of hire, or tests out of class.
