Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI is seeking a INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST to join our team!

Key Responsibilities:

+ Assist Interventional Radiologists during minimally invasive procedures such as biopsies, angiograms, stent placements, and embolization.

+ Operate imaging equipment such as fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound, and X-ray during procedures.

+ Prepare and position patients for imaging studies, ensuring comfort and safety.

+ Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of imaging equipment and devices.

+ Administer contrast agents as required for imaging procedures.

+ Maintain accurate patient records, including procedure details and imaging results.

+ Follow proper infection control and safety protocols at all times.

+ Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards to minimize exposure to patients and staff.

+ Participate in on-call rotation.

HOURS: Occasional hours only; will cover day shifts based on department need & applicant availability

Experience/Qualifications

+ Knowledge of radiological standards and procedures normally acquired through completion of a diploma from an approved AMA school of radiological technology, an Associate’s Degree in Radiology, or other manner to meet requirements of the ARRT and State of Wisconsin Radiographer licensure.

+ Possesses State of Wisconsin Radiographer license.

+ Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Experience

+ Minimum of two years’ working full time in Diagnostic Radiology with previous experience in Cath Lab/Special Procedures

+ Possesses an in-depth knowledge of Cath Lab monitoring systems.

+ Possesses complete and thorough understanding of the operation of all equipment and patient monitors including set-up and function: EKG, invasive pressure, NIBP, SAO2, etc.

+ Possesses a thorough understanding of EKG rhythm.

+ Possesses a working knowledge of both hospital and department specific computer systems.
