Adecco Staffing is partnering with a respected public agency in Fresno, CA to hire a Finance Coordinator. This temporary full-time position offers a competitive pay rate of $25–$33 per hour and a stable schedule of 7:30AM to 5:00PM, Monday through Thursday, with every other Friday off, providing excellent work-life balance. The Finance Coordinator performs professional and technical accounting work, including budget development, financial analysis, and monthly reporting. The role also supports the agency’s strategic goals by maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reconciliations, and assisting with audits—making this a great opportunity for individuals seeking long-term growth in a mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Perform intermediate-level professional accounting work, including reviewing general ledger entries, researching discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and procedures.
+ Maintain and reconcile subsidiary accounting records, bank statements, payables/receivables, fund requisitions, assets, loans, depreciation schedules, and year-end closing activities.
+ Prepare monthly financial reports, bank reconciliations, schedules, funding award reports, and assist with budget development and analysis.
+ Submit weekly, monthly, and annual reports, invoices, and budget closeout documents.
+ Assist in preparing schedules and supporting documentation for audits, Financial Data Schedules, and federal/state/local reporting.
+ Provide technical assistance and information to Finance staff and other departments to support decision-making.
+ Maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to agency policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
+ Assist with presentations, document preparation, special projects, and general administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and data entry.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field and at least 2 years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Knowledge of finance, accounting principles, budgeting, and data management systems.
+ Skill in financial forecasting, analysis, and preparation of detailed reports.
+ Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and statistical data.
+ Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to present financial information clearly.
+ Ability to work with sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality.
+ Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and the ability to learn new software programs.
+ Valid California driver’s license required.

Physical Requirements:

**Pay Details:** $25.00 to $33.00 per hour
