    Description

    We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Barrington, Illinois. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in managing the accounts receivable process and ensuring accurate financial operations.     Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely and accurate billing and payment collection.

    • Process customer invoices and reconcile accounts to ensure proper documentation and financial accuracy.

    • Handle cash activity, including payments and deposits, while maintaining detailed records.

    • Manage payment processing and promptly address any discrepancies or issues.

    • Utilize accounting software systems, such as QuickBooks, to maintain financial data and generate reports.

    • Perform general ledger entries and ensure compliance with company policies.

    • Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing inquiries and improve workflows.

    • Conduct account reconciliations to verify balances and identify any variances.

    • Assist with data entry tasks related to financial transactions and records.

    • Support continuous improvement efforts in the accounts receivable function.

     

    Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

     

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or similar financial roles.

    • Proficiency with QuickBooks and other accounting software systems.

    • Strong understanding of ERP systems and general accounting principles.

    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial processes.

    • Ability to handle cash transactions and payment processing efficiently.

    • Experience with account reconciliation and maintaining detailed financial records.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
