Description

We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Fresno, California. In this role, you will manage financial operations for residential properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to apply your accounting expertise within the real estate industry.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports for residential properties.

• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions while maintaining accurate general ledger entries.

• Perform regular bank account reconciliations and monitor property cash flow.

• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing procedures.

• Collaborate with property managers to oversee rent collection and track lease agreements.

• Ensure all financial practices comply with accounting regulations and real estate standards.

• Generate detailed reports and provide financial insights to support management decision-making.

• Maintain accounting records using QuickBooks software with precision and consistency.

• Address discrepancies and resolve issues related to financial transactions.

• Support audits and provide necessary documentation as required.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.

• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to accrual accounting.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks software for managing financial records.

• Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.

• Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Familiarity with residential property management accounting practices is desirable.

• Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes.

• Experience with bank reconciliations and month-end closing procedures.
