The position supports the Global Private Banking and Wealth Business. The position will be the business partner for Wealth products across IWPB (Intl Wealth and Premier Banking) and the segment partner for Private Bank. In the wealth product space, the position will be responsible across brokerage, insurance, and managed solutions. In addition to a deep product knowledge the position will also be responsibility for coordinating with distribution teams on sales incentive schemes, campaigns, and Net New Money. Significant analytical understanding of pricing, revenues and cost of all products and the integration of financial and non-financial information will be key for the role holder to drive deep business analysis. Furthermore, an active consultation with the business about product and segment performance is expected. The position will partner with Finance business leads in Lending and Transactional Banking to provide full product coverage to Private Bank segment.
From a finance activity perspective, the position will partner with IWPB OpCo on FRP (Financial Resource Plan), forecast, stress testing, performance analysis and strategic plan. As appropriate the position will own all models used for these activities. The position primarily supports US IWPB CEO (Chief Executive Officer) and their OpCo and Global PB (Private Bank) and IWS (WPS now Wealth Product Solutions) businesses.
As our Private Bank and Wealth Business Partner you will:
+ Lead GPB&W (Global Private Bank and Wealth) business financials with analysis to improve underlying financial performance acting as a trusted advisor to senior management, provide valued commercial insights to challenge and steer business decisions
+ Be responsible for cost management
+ Apply commercial acumen to financial metrics, drive commercial performance and direct business management to focus on profitable activities while building and maintaining business relationships to support strategic change
+ Review consolidated MI (Management Information) to deliver insightful analysis to the business, recommend the necessary MI tools and define reports to be used by senior management
+ Active stakeholder engagement and management to US CEO and OpCo and GPB (Global Private Bank) and IWS businesses
+ Provide actionable insight to support business performance. Central Finance and ALCM (Asset, Liability and capital Management) in support of stress testing and product transfer pricing
+ Ensure compliance, operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC or regulatory standards and policies; and optimize relations with regulators by addressing any issues
+ Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:
+ Strong financial management experience, or equivalent. Financial Services industry experience with Wealth and Affluent Market Product knowledge preferred
+ Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business management, related field or equivalent experience; MBA preferred
+ Strong Analytical Skills. Top Performer background
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate well with all levels of staff, including senior and/or executive management, to include strong business writing skills
+ Proven decision-making skills
+ Strong understanding of business issues and the drivers of business performance
