    Job Title: Production Plan & Control Supervisor

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Production Plan & Control Supervisor to develop, implement, and maintain efficient production schedules that ensure on-time delivery of customer orders while optimizing resource utilization. This role requires collaboration across multiple departments to ensure smooth operations, alongside monitoring and improving production processes.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop, implement, and maintain production schedules to ensure efficient utilization of resources and on-time delivery of customer orders.

    + Adjust and optimize schedules in response to demand changes, supply disruptions, or capacity constraints.

    + Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.

    + Communicate schedule updates, priorities, and potential risks to stakeholders.

    + Monitor production processes to identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.

    + Analyze production workflows and recommend improvements to increase throughput, reduce downtime, and enhance resource utilization.

    + Manage inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to balance supply and demand.

    + Partner with procurement to forecast material needs, minimize shortages, and reduce excess inventory.

    + Ensure products are delivered on schedule while maintaining cost efficiency.

    + Optimize labor, equipment, and material usage to meet production goals.

    + Track, analyze, and report on key manufacturing metrics (e.g., OEE, cycle time, yield, scrap, capacity utilization).

    + Use data-driven insights to recommend and implement process improvements.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field.

    + 5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations.

    + Strong knowledge of production control principles, capacity planning, and inventory management.

    + Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics).

    + Ability to analyze production data and identify trends to improve performance.

    + Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments.

    + Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

    + Hands-on experience managing metrics such as OEE, takt time, and throughput.

    + Experience in high-mix, low- to mid-volume production environments.

    + Familiarity with advanced planning and scheduling tools.

    Work Environment

    This position involves working in a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment where collaboration across multiple departments is essential. The role requires the use of various ERP/MRP systems and advanced planning tools to ensure efficient production processes. Attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement are crucial for success in this role.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Permanent position based out of Whitsett, NC.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $90000.00/yr.

     

    Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations.

     

    Workplace Type

     

    This is a fully onsite position in Whitsett,NC.
