We are seeking a highly skilled Firmware Engineer to join our innovative team. This role involves developing embedded firmware to support a filtration board project. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate measurement of differential pressure drops around water filters, helping to determine when a filter needs replacement.
Responsibilities
+ Develop and diagnose firmware from the ground up in a C/C++ pure embedded environment.
+ Utilize FreeRTOS for embedded systems development.
+ Engage in BLE development, including board bring-up and troubleshooting.
+ Validate board functionality and ensure reliability through testing.
+ Collaborate with hardware engineers to troubleshoot and enhance board performance.
+ Support software over-the-air (OTA) updates via Bluetooth pairing.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
+ 5+ years of experience in embedded firmware development using C or C++.
+ Experience with embedded RTOS and bare-metal development.
+ Proficiency in serial communication protocols such as UART, SPI, and I2C.
+ Experience in ARM-based microcontrollers, especially Silicon Labs BGM240 or EFR32 family.
+ Understanding of automated test frameworks like NUnit.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in Modbus RTU/TCP is preferred.
+ Familiarity with board layout and design.
+ Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
+ Experience with embedded file systems, system controls, and embedded Linux.
+ Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Work Environment
This position is 100% onsite in MN and involves working closely with both local and remote teams. This is a Contract position based out of Saint Paul, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $68.00/hr.
