    Job Title: Mechanical Superintendent

    Job Description

    We are seeking a Mechanical Superintendent with strong computer skills and familiarity with process piping, chillers, water cooling systems, and CRAH Units as they relate to Data Centers. The main site for this position will be in the DFW area, with potential travel to other project sites. Experience in construction, ideally within Data Centers, with a Mechanical Engineer BS Degree is a big plus! This position can also be open to someone who just completed their Mechanical Engineer Bachelor's degree.

    Responsibilities

    + Supervise mechanical construction or maintenance activities.

    + Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specifications.

    + Lead and coordinate mechanical crews and subcontractors.

    + Assign tasks and monitor performance.

    + Inspect work to ensure compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations.

    + Implement quality assurance procedures.

    + Enforce safety protocols and conduct safety meetings.

    + Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.

    + Develop and maintain work schedules.

    + Coordinate with other departments to align mechanical work with overall project timelines.

    + Manage tools, equipment, and materials.

    + Ensure availability and proper use of resources.

    + Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.

    + Provide guidance on mechanical systems and installations.

    + Maintain daily logs and progress reports.

    + Document inspections, issues, and resolutions.

    + Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and clients.

    + Ensure mechanical work meets client expectations and contractual obligations.

    + Identify and resolve mechanical issues during construction or maintenance.

    + Recommend improvements or modifications.

    Essential Skills

    + Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

    + Experience with Data Centers.

    + Construction experience.

    + Very strong computer skills.

    + Experience in construction management.

    + Proficiency in interpreting schematics, blueprints, and P&ID.

    + Experience in HVAC, CRAH units, and UPS systems.

    + Supervisory skills.

    + Proficient in project management and troubleshooting.

    + Familiarity with commercial construction and Procore.

    + Knowledge of OSHA regulations.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Mechanical experience preferred.

    + Experience as a site supervisor or in a management role.

    + Strong communication skills.

    + Data center experience beneficial.

    + Willingness to travel helpful.

    + Strong safety attitude.

    + 5 to 10 years of experience.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $130000.00/hr.
