Job Title: Controls EngineerJob Description
The primary role of a Controls Engineer is to design, develop, install, and maintain equipment used to monitor and control engineering systems and processes. The position involves working on the entire lifecycle of electrical design, from specification and concept to system completion, while adhering to the overall project schedule.
Responsibilities
+ Assist in creating and following electrical design schedules, ensuring alignment with project timelines.
+ Test, evaluate, modify, and calibrate products and instruments.
+ Analyze plant processes and design improvements for implementation.
+ Troubleshoot hardware and process issues.
+ Analyze project requirements and perform technical calculations to support design, including electrical requirements, robotic safety standards, and motor controls.
+ Ensure all safety objectives and legal requirements are met for all completed work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
+ 10 years of experience in controls engineering, development, testing, or related fields.
+ Experience in controls software development and/or testing.
+ Machine or vehicle level engineering experience, preferably in machine performance, controls, testing, or simulation.
+ Familiarity with mining trucks operations and applications.
Work Environment
This role requires a dynamic work environment where the engineer will work with various technologies and equipment. The position may involve fieldwork in industrial settings, requiring compliance with safety standards and protocols. The work schedule aligns with project timelines and may require flexibility.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Tucson, AZ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
