Job Title: Shipper and Receiver** **Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and safety-focused Shipper and Receiver to efficiently manage the loading and unloading of steel coils and other materials onto and off flatbed trailers. This role involves maneuvering materials in the warehouse using an overhead crane or sit-down forklift, ensuring all operations are conducted in a safe manner. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced team environment and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Responsibilities

+ Safely load and unload steel coils and other materials onto and off flatbed trailers.

+ Unload material from railcars safely.

+ Maneuver material around the warehouse using an overhead crane or sit-down forklift.

+ Maintain a clean and organized work area.

+ Verify the width and gauge of coils during the shipping/receiving process.

+ Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Essential Skills

+ 2+ years of heavy industrial manufacturing experience, with a preference for material handling.

+ Ability to read a tape measure accurately.

+ Proficiency in the English language, both verbal and written.

+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and safely.

+ Basic application of hand and power tools.

+ Safety consciousness and awareness at all times.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with overhead crane and forklift operation preferred but not required.

+ Ability to use and read a micrometer and calipers is preferred but training will be provided.

+ Basic knowledge of computers for data entry.

+ Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a team.

Work Environment

The role is based in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment/warehouse. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:30 PM to Midnight. You will use a 20,000 lb sit-down forklift and a C hook overhead crane for operations.

This is a Contract position based out of Catoosa, OK.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
