Job Title: Packaging Technician** **Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Packaging Technician for our 1st Shift from 6:45 AM to 2:45 PM. In this role, you will be responsible for applying Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and customer requirements in all areas. This position requires strict adherence to safety regulations and conducting all activities in a safe and efficient manner. You will be performing manual or automated assembly, manufacturing, filling, packaging, and labeling of pharmaceutical products, ensuring adherence to specifications and maintaining the highest quality standards. Additional duties include performing in-process and AQL inspections, participating in the start-up and closure of packaging jobs, and cleaning packaging rooms and machinery.
Responsibilities
+ Apply Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and customer requirements in all areas of responsibility.
+ Comply with all safety regulations and conduct all activities in a safe, efficient manner.
+ Perform manual or automated assembly, manufacturing, filling, packaging, and labeling of pharmaceutical products.
+ Act as the primary performer of in-process and AQL inspections.
+ Participate in the start-up and closure of packaging jobs.
+ Clean packaging rooms and machinery in accordance with SOPs and GMP.
+ Accept or reject in-process clinical supplies and drug products.
+ Perform computer-related tasks for job sign-in, in-process actions, and data entry.
+ Perform counts of components and drug products.

+ Must be able to read, comprehend, and execute English work documents, including SOPs, work instructions, knowledge assessments, cGMP, safety procedures

Work Environment
This role requires working in a clean room environment that necessitates gowning and adherence to safety protocols. Candidates must be comfortable working in a freezer environment for up to 80% of their day if needed. Personal Protective Equipment Certification, including filtering face masks, PAPR, N-95 masks, half-face masks, and safety glasses, is required. Employees receive extra compensation for hours worked in refrigerated and freezer conditions.

This is a Contract position based out of Allentown, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.70 - $19.55/hr.
