    Job Title: Refractory Technician** **Job Description

     

    Join our team as a Refractory Technician, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining industrial manufacturing facilities. Your work will involve the tear-out and replacement of high-temperature concrete furnace linings, utilizing state-of-the-art mechanized equipment. This position offers a dynamic and challenging environment, where you'll have the opportunity to develop a diverse skill set in masonry, welding, carpentry, and insulating.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform tear-out and replacement of high-temperature concrete furnace linings.

    + Utilize mechanized equipment comparable to BROKK or excavators for demolition.

    + Apply craftsman techniques in accordance with specifications and best practices.

    + Travel up to 50% of the time, with assignments across the east coast.

    + Work flexibly in various shifts, adapting to job-specific schedules.

    + Maintain a clean-shaven appearance for respirator use.

    Essential Skills

    + Construction experience.

    + Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

    + Mechanically inclined with knowledge of power and hand tools.

    + Willingness to learn and perform multiple skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in carpentry, bricklaying, masonry, and heavy equipment operation.

    + Proficiency with a hammer and tape measure.

    + Must pass pre-screenings for DT and BK.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Northampton, PA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $25.00/hr.
