    Job Title: Equipment Technician** **Job Description

     

    We are seeking an Equipment Technician who is responsible for setting up machines and ensuring they run at peak efficiency through proper set-up, adjustment, preventative maintenance, and minor mechanical repairs. Candidates with a mechanical background, such as those who have worked on a farm or as a mechanic, will be considered.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance on a variety of machines, including Inserter Machines, Rotary Cutters, Folder Machines, Affixer Machines, and Bindery Machines.

    + Recommend and maintain tools, parts, and supplies necessary for machine operation.

    + Work off testing schedules, samples, and instructions to ensure optimal machine performance.

    + Coordinate activities with Inventory Control to ensure smooth production processes.

    + Maintain a production log documenting running time, down time, quantity produced, and readings on a postage meter.

    + Train operators on basic machine operation to enhance efficiency and productivity.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in troubleshooting machine issues.

    + Experience in electrical and mechanical repairs.

    + Preventive maintenance skills.

    + Experience as a Maintenance Technician.

    + Knowledge in pneumatics and related systems.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with IWCO equipment is advantageous.

    + Previous experience in machine troubleshooting and maintenance is essential.

    The work involves hands-on management of various machines. It is essential to follow testing schedules and instructions precisely. There is a collaborative atmosphere, where coordination with Inventory Control and training of operators are integral to the role. The position requires a focus on safety and efficiency, with attention to maintaining detailed production logs.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Cloud, MN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
