    Job Description

    As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production and warehouse facilities. Your primary responsibilities will include operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts to efficiently move materials to and from production lines, docks, and inventory. You will be responsible for staging, stacking, and wrapping pallets, getting products ready for shipment, and loading and unloading trucks.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move materials.

    + Gather materials from inventory and transport them to production lines.

    + Transfer materials from docks to inventory and vice versa.

    + Stage, stack, and wrap pallets for shipment.

    + Load and unload trucks efficiently.

    + Work in both production and warehouse/shipping areas.

    Essential Skills

    + 2+ years experience operating sit-down forklifts.

    + Experience with stand-up forklifts, particularly in Alsip.

    + Proficiency with RF scanners.

    + Ability to load and unload trucks.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in chemical, oil, or food manufacturing is a plus.

    + Ability to perform repetitive motions is essential.

    Work Environment

     

    The Alsip facility is modern, clean, and temperature-controlled, with a smaller workforce and fewer production lines. The Chicago Heights facility, while older, is also temperature-controlled with a larger workforce and more production lines. Both facilities prioritize safety and provide organized work environments with multiple break rooms and security checkpoints.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago Heights, IL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $17.25 - $18.35/hr.
