    Job Title: GSE/Diesel Mechanic

     

    About the Role

As a **Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Mechanic** , you’ll perform preventative maintenance and repairs on critical airport equipment—from baggage carts to deicing systems—ensuring smooth operations on the runway.

     

    This role offers hands-on challenges, advanced training, and the chance to grow with one of the largest aviation companies in the USA.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Perform light and heavy repairs on GSE equipment.

    + Diagnose and repair mechanical issues across diesel, gas, and LP engines.

    + Troubleshoot A/C and D/C electrical systems; interpret electrical schematics.

    + Repair hydraulic systems and read hydraulic flow schematics.

    + Use computer software to diagnose Powertrain Management Systems.

    + Repair 80 & 48 volt DC systems and troubleshoot Airstart systems.

    + Maintain productivity levels and complete repair orders accurately and on time.

    + Participate in ongoing training to expand technical knowledge.

    Essential Skills

    + 5+ years of mechanical testing and troubleshooting experience.

    + Expertise in diesel systems, automotive and diesel engines.

    + Ability to read schematics and perform electrical testing.

    + Possession of a rolling toolbox with basic tools.

    + Valid Drivers License/Reliable Transportation

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Previous GSE experience. or 3–5 years of experience with gas and diesel engines.

    + Valid driver’s license.

    + Strong communication skills (oral and written).

    + Vocational training certificate or equivalent work experience.

    + Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

    + Eligibility for an Airport-issued ID badge.

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boston, MA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.50 - $33.50/hr.

    Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
