Job Title: Diesel Mechanic** **Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. You will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing semi-trucks and trailers in our fleet, which currently consists of 10 power trucks and will soon expand to 17.
Responsibilities
+ Diagnose and repair intakes, radiators, air conditioning compressors, oil pans, steering gears, tie rods, alternators, and perform oil changes.
+ Conduct bumper-to-bumper repairs and chassis maintenance.
+ Change tires and brakes, including brake chambers.
+ Perform bodywork on trailers and replace components such as mirrors, antennas, windows, fifth wheels, mud flaps, and cross members.
+ Troubleshoot electrical systems up to 12v, HVAC systems, windshield wipers, and lighting.
+ Apply aftermarket treatments to engines, including diagnosing engines, cab and emissions for freightliner and volvo trucks.
+ Perform MIG welding and fabricating as needed.
+ Utilize basic computer skills for logging into systems, updating truck progress, and sending emails.
Essential Skills
+ 3-5 years of diesel mechanic experience.
+ Proficiency in replacing tires and changing brakes.
+ Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues on tractors and trailers.
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel for email communication and spreadsheet updates.
+ Valid driver’s license with potential to acquire Class A & B License.
+ Insight and Detroit software proficiency.

Work Environment
Work in a dynamic recycling yard environment, with duties primarily inside a repair bay. Be prepared for a work atmosphere that can be dirty, dusty, cold in winter, and hot in summer. Our work schedule is flexible from Monday to Friday, with shifts between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., or 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., ensuring a total of 45 hours per week. Expect direct hire with potential for overtime hours.

This is a Permanent position based out of Toledo, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $58240.00/yr.
- Weekly Bonus (based on production) from 0 to 50% of their weekly production
- Yearly Profit sharing (this based on the candidates overall pay from the year before. For the past six years profit sharing bonus was at 25% of their overall year end salary)
