    Job Title: Material Handler / Assembler** **Job Description

     

    Join a dynamic team as a Material Handler / Assembler where you will play a crucial role in the fast-paced production and assembly of components and finished products. You will be involved in gasketing sheet metal plates, using a tape gun, and working closely with a partner to build up to 400 plates per shift.

    Responsibilities

    + Gasket sheet metal plates and use a tape gun to secure units.

    + Work collaboratively with a partner on the opposite end of the table to gasket each plate.

    + Train and operate the stacker machine, requiring repetitive lifting of plates overhead.

    + Assemble sub-components and finished products using basic product and process knowledge.

    + Use hand and power tools to fit metal products together.

    + Operate an overhead crane to build heat exchangers.

    + Lift and fit products together, requiring the ability to lift 60lbs or more.

    + Fulfill product orders daily with a team member, requiring lifting, climbing, standing, and walking.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in using hand and power tools.

    + Experience with assembly drawings and schematics.

    + Ability to operate an overhead crane.

    + Comfortable with repetitive lifting and physical tasks.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or GED required upon permanent conversion (Company offers GED program).

    + Ability to lift 50lbs or more independently.

    + Capable of standing, walking, and reaching for extended periods.

    Work Environment

    The work environment is fast-paced, organized, and takes place on a large manufacturing floor with clearly labeled sections. The first shift runs from 6AM to 2:30PM, with potential work until 4:30PM if needed.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
