    Job Title: Packaging Operator - 2nd or 3rd Shift

    Job Description

    This role involves overseeing various operations including Alpma machines, brine systems, filling forms, and ensuring cleanliness and sanitation in compliance with high standards. As a Packaging Technician, you will be responsible for setting up and operating high-speed packaging machines that create bags for sweet potato chips fried in avocado oil. You will also perform minor troubleshooting, identifying the reasons behind machine stoppages or jams and determining if maintenance assistance is needed.

    Responsibilities

    + Manage and operate specific machinery in the production line.

    + Follow all safety, sanitation, and production procedures.

    + Ensure accurate record-keeping and quality control.

    + Communicate effectively with team members and management.

    Essential Skills

    + 2+ years of machine operating experience.

    + 2+ years of minor troubleshooting experience.

    + Experience in high-speed manufacturing at the same company for over 2 years.

    + Experience with changeover and machine setup.

    + Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with packaging machines and filling machines.

    + Ability to adjust feeds and speeds.

    + Experience with basic troubleshooting.

    Work Environment

     

    Work during 3rd shift hours from 10pm to 6:30am, Sunday through Thursday, with occasional overtime on weekends. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and temperature-controlled, with a pleasant aroma reminiscent of French fries. Adhere to GMP standards, which include wearing a hair net, beard net, smocks, hard hat, and steel-toed boots.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, WI.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.50/hr.
