Job Title: CNC Milling Machine Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Milling Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC milling machines, ensuring precise and efficient operations. You will work with engineering drawings and blueprints to produce high-quality components while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Responsibilities
+ Set up and operate CNC milling machines, including Brother models.
+ Edit CNC programs as needed, with programming being a plus.
+ Machine prototyping is advantageous.
+ Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
+ Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other tools.
+ Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments for quality and efficiency.
+ Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor machine issues.
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards.
Essential Skills
+ 3-5 years of experience setting up CNC milling machines.
+ Strong understanding of machining principles and tooling.
+ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
+ Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
+ Good communication and teamwork skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Mastercam programming and vertical mills.
+ Experience in machining short-run jobs.
+ Knowledge of Solidworks, GD&T, and axis setups.
+ Prototyping experience is a plus.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Machesney Park, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $30.00/hr.
