    CNC Machinist

    Job Description

    Operate machines such as Lathe, Mill, and EDM to load parts and ensure continuous production of high-quality parts that meet customer expectations. Perform minor edits of CNC programs and replace tooling when necessary. Inspect completed parts using micrometers, indicators, calipers, comparators, and other precision measurement tools. Maintain quality standards by understanding and applying the Quality Management System.

    Responsibilities

    + Load parts and operate CNC machines including Lathe, Mill, and EDM.

    + Ensure continuous production of parts that meet customer expectations.

    + Perform minor edits of CNC programs and replace tooling as needed.

    + Inspect completed parts using various precision measurement tools.

    + Maintain adherence to quality standards and the Quality Management System.

    Essential Skills

    + 2+ years of CNC machining or CNC operating experience.

    + Ability to perform basic production shop mathematics.

    + Knowledge of machining principles and various machining technologies.

    + Proficiency in performing tool changes and operating precision measurement tools.

    + Strong understanding of standard CNC controllers, particularly FANUC.

    + Ability to understand and interpret blueprints.

    + Demonstrated mechanical ability with close attention to detail and accuracy.

    + Effective time management skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Knowledge of G&M codes is a plus.

    + Experience with Haas, Fanuc, Mazak, and various milling and machine operations.

    + Ability to perform machine setup and programming.

    + Experience in troubleshooting and working in a production environment.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a clean machine shop with a focus on quality and precision. Night shift lathe operators work Monday through Thursday from 3pm to 1am, receiving a 20% shift differential.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Terre Haute, IN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $72800.00/yr.
