Job Title: Machine Repairman, 1st Shift in Grand Rapids

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machine Repairman to perform maintenance and repair tasks on stamping presses and injection molding equipment. The role involves visiting customer sites to assess and fix machinery, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. This position operates primarily on the 1st shift and requires the ability to work with a sister company for rigging or moving equipment. A valid CDL is a plus.

Responsibilities

+ Perform machine repair on stamping press and injection molding equipment.

+ Respond to customer calls for general mechanical machine repair.

+ Work with hydraulic, pneumatic, gears, motors, and wiring systems.

+ Conduct general industrial maintenance and troubleshooting.

+ Collaborate with a sister company for rigging or moving equipment.

Essential Skills

+ 8+ years of experience in plastic injection or stamping press equipment.

+ Proficiency in hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical troubleshooting.

+ Experience with machine repair, industrial maintenance, and as a maintenance technician.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Journeyman Machine Repair certification is a plus.

+ Experience with motors, gears, pumps, and sprockets.

Work Environment

This position operates on a 1st shift schedule from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with the possibility of extended hours if needed. Opportunities for overtime are available, with double pay for hours worked over 12 in a day. Expect occasional travel, typically 1-2 days at a time, totaling about one week per year. The shop is currently located downtown but will be moving to a new location next year to unify with the sister company under one roof

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58000.00 - $83200.00/yr.
