Job Title: Lathe Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Lathe Machinist to set up and operate CNC lathe machines. The ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of measuring instruments and controls, ensuring precision and quality in machining operations.

Responsibilities

+ Set up and operate CNC lathe machines.

+ Utilize measuring instruments such as micrometers, depth gauges, height gauges, dial calipers, and optical comparators to ensure accuracy.

+ Set up and edit lathe operations using 3 and 4 axis machines and Fanuc controls.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in CNC lathe operations.

+ Experience in mill and lathe setups, particularly in the aerospace industry.

+ Ability to interpret blueprints and utilize Fanuc and Haas controls.

+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in a machine shop environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Background in a machine shop setting.

+ Ability to bring your own tools is preferred.

Work Environment

The position is based in a machine shop environment where graphite is handled; wearing a mask is required due to the nature of the material. Employees can expect to work in shifts with potential openings on the 2nd shift (2pm - 10:30pm).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Long Beach, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
