    Job Title: Extrusion Operator** **Job Description

     

    We are seeking a dedicated and skilled extrusion operator to join our team. You will be responsible for starting up, shutting down, and operating extruders while ensuring that both process parameters and product quality are closely monitored. This role involves making necessary machine adjustments, performing preventative maintenance, and assisting with packaging finished products.

    Responsibilities

    + Start up, shut down, and operate extruders while monitoring process parameters and product quality.

    + Make necessary machine adjustments and perform preventative maintenance.

    + Perform quality checks and complete production paperwork.

    + Assist with packaging finished product.

    + Be or become certified to drive a forklift or fork truck.

    + Operate chop saw to cut samples.

    + Deliver raw materials to the production lines.

    + Maintain a clean and safe work area.

    + Work safely and efficiently.

    + Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in extrusion, plastic handling, and using calipers.

    + Proficiency in machine operation and conducting quality checks.

    + Experience in packaging and stacking.

    + Capability to operate a forklift when needed.

    + Strong quality control and machine operating skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or GED.

    + Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing facility or similar relevant experience.

    + Highly accountable and punctual.

    + Detail-oriented with strong analytical and numerical skills.

    + Understanding of production and plant processes.

    + Ability to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in different units of measurement.

    + Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

    + Ability to work in a small team.

    + Ability to lift heavy equipment, bend, and stand or walk for long periods.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Green Bay, WI.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
