Rush Copley Medical Center, in Aurora, Illinois, part of the Rush University System for Health network of hospitals, invites applications for positions in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. Rush’s Pulmonology and Lung Surgery program was ranked 16 at a national level in 2025-2026 by U.S. News & World Report.
Department/division specifics:
Rush University System for Health is seeking full-time pulmonary and critical care physicians (sleep medicine training welcome but not required) to join and expand our well-established and growing lung service line. This opportunity offers clinical coverage and growth potential in multiple areas, including a 22-bed critical care unit, inpatient pulmonary consult service, and outpatient pulmonary and sleep medicine practices.
In this role, there is opportunity to expand our sleep services, establish subspecialty clinics tailored to your interest, and contribute to expansion in our existing general pulmonary, interventional pulmonary, and thoracic surgery programs. Well established resources will support your practice, including excellent respiratory therapy services, pulmonary function testing lab, AACVPR Pulmonary Rehab program, and Lung Screening Center of Excellence. Integration with the lung service line will offer readily accessible expertise in subspecialty programs including ILD, bronchiectasis, cystic fibrosis, sleep medicine/behavioral sleep medicine, pulmonary hypertension, and interventional pulmonary. Our integrated approach will emphasize opportunities to align across the system for clinical, educational, and research missions in our community-based practice.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Provide critical care services at Rush Copley's state of the art intensive care unit.
• Provide inpatient pulmonary consultations.
• Grow outpatient pulmonary, sleep, and subspecialty services based on interest and expertise.
• Provide outpatient services at Rush Copley main campus and our outreach clinics including Lisle and Yorkville.

Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, knowledge and skills; relevant experience and training; education, certifications, and licensure; primary work location; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full -time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role, as well as additional compensation such as sign-on and retention bonuses and relocation allowances. Opportunities for increased compensation based on exceeding productivity targets. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.
**Pay Range:** $450,000 - $578,000
