Embassy Suites by Hilton Santa Clara Silicon Valley, located less than two miles from Levi's Stadium, is looking for an Overnight Security Officer\. We're just off the Bayshore Freeway, 10 minutes from the Santa Clara Convention Center and California’s Great America\. Palo Alto and downtown San Jose are a 15\-minute drive away\. Our property has 258 suites, over 4,000 square feet of event space and 5 meeting rooms\.

The Ideal candidate will possess:

+ A safety minded mentality that likes to provide a safe stay for our guests and a safe working environment

+ Past security experience

+ Ability to work an overnight schedule including weekends and holidays\.

+ Be a team player with a can\-do attitude\.

+ Able to work independently while periodically checking in with the front desk\.

+ Someone who can de\-escalate situations in a calm manner\.

**Schedule:** Candidates must have availability from 10pm\-6:30am\.

**Wage:** $23 per hour

What will I be doing?

As a Security Officer, you would be responsible for ensuring the safety of guests and team members and the security of the hotel and property in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability\. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

+ Patrol the interior and perimeter of the hotel and the property to observe and identify potential safety risks, security risks, and undesirable conditions\.

+ Respond to emergency situations including, but not limited to, safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies, and threats to life and/or property\.

+ Promote safe work practices\.

+ Initiates preliminary investigations into incidents, as needed\.

+ Writes reports and ensures accuracy of necessary documentation, as needed\.

+ Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve guest issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner\.

+ Cover the front desk for breaks, as needed\.
