IT Recovery Specialist

Responsible for the recovery of equipment and peripherals, and tracking of inventory for the Purchasing, Lifecycle, Asset Management, Inventory, Deployments (PLAID) team.
+ Maintains the termination process in ServiceNow, ensuring all ticket statuses are up to date with relevant information.
+ Maintains the actions needed for the different status of the tickets, examples: sending boxes as needed, sending certified letters, following up on boxes being returned, opening returned boxes, checking in equipment, creating security incidents, and closing out tickets when machines are lost with the proper status for reporting.
+ Inspects equipment for damage on return, sorts it appropriately and elevates to manager if anything outside of normal wear and tear is found.
+ Decommissions old hardware equipment and peripherals as required for recycling or donation.
+ Helps users with return of equipment outside of termination in cases such as upgrades or role changes.
+ Ensures all equipment is properly assigned or unassigned in the inventory system.
+ Maintains compliance with policies, processes and procedures governing team deliveries.
+ Provides backup receiving support of IT equipment, and imaging support when needed.
+ Answers calls for the return equipment hotline.
+ Maintains the stock of shipping materials and builds boxes as needed.
+ Provides shipping assistance for machine deployments.
+ Responsible for IT tickets related to peripheral replacement when assigned.
+ May make proactive suggestions for service improvements.
Minimum Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or GED; Associates degree.
+ 2-5 years of experience in Information Technology.

+ Actively looks for ways to help people in the most efficient manner.
+ Technically inclined with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Share point
+ Position involves frequent bending, moving, lifting, and carrying material weighing up to 50 pounds.
+ Ability and inclination to learn quickly in a fast-changing environment.
Compensation Ranges
Compensation ranges for ASM Research positions vary depending on multiple factors; including but not limited to, location, skill set, level of education, certifications, client requirements, contract-specific affordability, government clearance and investigation level, and years of experience. The compensation displayed for this role is a general guideline based on these factors and is unique to each role. Monetary compensation is one component of ASM's overall compensation and benefits package for employees.
