_This is a high impact role with broad responsibility working in tandem with our AVP Insurance and Risk Management. The primary focus will be supporting traditional risk management functions such as claims management, insurance, renewal process, safety, contract review and assistance with special risk management projects._
Insurance Risk Analyst:
1.Assist corporate insurance manager with the efficient placement of corporate property and casualty insurance on a global and local country basis covering CTS’s assets, operations and liabilities by:
a)Data Gathering and application completion for renewal
1.Work with various stakeholder to obtain data relevant for insurance renewals.
2.Complete applications for insurers
b)Working with manager and brokers to design coverages to best protect Cognizant
c)Participate in underwriter meetings to negotiate terms and conditions of insurance
d)Coordinating such coverages between CTS entities, brokers and insurers around the world
2.Manage certain claims arising under these policies by:
a)Working with internal stakeholders (finance, tax, legal, etc.) to determine losses and/exposures to loss
b)Engaging with outside counsel when coverage issues arise
c)Negotiating the most favorable outcome for recovery and/or protection under the insurance
3.Perform various administrative tasks associated with insurance, including:
a)Global contract review around insurance terms and conditions and interfacing with clients, as needed to negotiate such T&C’s – large part of job
b)Insurance certificate production to support our contractual obligations – large part of job
c)Invoice processing
d)Workers’ compensation payroll reporting (mono-states, Canadian provinces, etc.)
e)Others, as needed
4.Assist in M&A due diligence around insurance by:
a)Extracting and reviewing Seller’s insurance programs,
b)Work with Seller and Seller’s insurance broker to migrate insurance to CTS programs
c)Assist with integration and training of Seller on CTS procedures around insurance
5.Other projects and duties as necessary
P&C Insurance / Coverage Coordination
+ Gather exposure data for renewals and reporting
+ Deriving risk information from large amounts of data and developing clever ways to present charts and graphs that tell a good story
+ Audit data collection and review
+ Coordinate renewal application completion with other departments
+ Coordinate Monopolistic State renewals
+ Coordinate certificates of insurance
Claims
+ Manage a variety of claims, including workers’ compensation, auto and general liability, employment practices, professional liability, etc.
+ Negotiate with adjusters
+ Manage any large deductible/SIR claims
+ Conduct root-cause investigations
Risk Finance & Accounting
+ Manage invoice processing & tracking
Manage Risk Management Information System
+ Use Risk Management Information Systems (RMIS) to record, store and analyze incident and claims data o
+ Coordinate monthly and quarterly internal report delivery
+ Perform trending, analysis and benchmarking for projects
+ Maintain monthly dashboard reporting
Contract Review
+ Review contractual provisions around insurance, indemnification, safety and other areas to support legal and business team needs
Stakeholder Relations
+ Listening to, educating and influencing cross-functional stakeholders in risk mitigation techniques to identify, analyze and prioritize risks and exposures to loss
Communications
+ Produce periodic risk metric communications
+ PowerPoint presentations (putting info together in PPT format)
+ Manage/update risk intranet
Other
+ Coordinate and manage surety program
+ Assist in the Crisis Management and Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery processes as a representative of the Insurance function
+ Participate in M&A transactions from an insurance and risk management standpoint
You Bring
+ Bachelor's degree in risk management, finance, business or a related area or equivalent experience; CPCU, ARM, AIC, CIC, CRM and/or other insurance professional designations are a plus
+ Two plus years of related experience in risk management and/or appropriate insurance related field, such as: claims, safety/loss control, underwriting, etc., in a large complex organization
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Strong ability with MS Office applications
+ Strong understanding of contracts, insurance policies and other written communications
+ Robust relationship and communication abilities to effectively interact with clients, subcontractors, associates and other stakeholders
+ Solid organization and detail orientation with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
+ Ability to execute with a high level of independence in a fast-paced environment
+ Strong project management abilities
