The Newhall School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher (Mild/Moderate) to join our team for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year. This is a chance to make a lasting impact by supporting K–12 exceptional students with diverse learning needs in a collaborative, school-based environment.

+ Location: Newhall, CA

+ Schedule: Monday–Friday, school hours

+ Pay: $45–$55/hour, DOE (negotiable based on experience)

+ Credential Required: Valid California Mild/Moderate Education Specialist credential

+ Deliver specialized instruction to students with mild to moderate disabilities

+ Participate in planning and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

+ Provide tutorial assistance and collaborate with general education staff

+ Support students across academic, behavioral, and social-emotional domains

+ Maintain compliance with state and district standards

? Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)

+ Valid California Mild/Moderate Education Specialist credential (required)

+ Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience with exceptional students (preferred)

+ Strong communication and collaboration skills

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ Competitive, negotiable pay based on experience ??
