About the Role:

JonesCounty Schools is seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Social Worker to join our multidisciplinary team for theremainder of the school year. This position will oversee all five schools inthe district, serving approximately 1,000 students. The Social Worker willcollaborate with educators, administrators, and support staff to provide inputin the development of Individualized Health Plans (IHPs) and IndividualizedEducation Programs (IEPs) for students requiring social work intervention.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support student success.

+ Provide input in the development of IHPs and IEPs for students requiring social work services.

+ Deliver social work interventions that promote safety, well-being, and academic engagement.

+ Connect students and families with community resources.

+ Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district requirements.

+ Document services and progress according to professional standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Professional Educator License with School Social Worker (SSW) endorsement (as required by state, contract, or facility).

+ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work (Master’s preferred; Bachelor’s candidates must have strong social work experience).

+ MSW or LCSW may be required depending on state or contract.

+ Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice.

+ Current CPR certification (if applicable).

+ TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray (if applicable).

+ Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation).

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.

+ Must be at least 18 years of age.
