Job Title: Behavior Technician

Contract Length: 20 weeks (2025–2026 school year)

Start Date: January 5, 2026 (tentative)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, approx. 7:45 AM – 3:15 PM

Hours per Week: 37.5

Position Overview

The Behavior Technician will provide educational and behavioral supportto children with exceptional needs in a school setting. This role involvesworking 1:1 with students, assisting with daily living skills, andcollaborating with teachers and behavioral specialists to achieve learning andbehavioral goals.

Key Responsibilities

+ Work directly with students in a low-incidence classroom setting.

+ Assist with toileting and daily living skills.

+ Support students with exceptional needs, typically in general education settings.

+ Manage behaviors, which may include occasional aggressive behaviors.

+ Be flexible to support other students or classrooms as needed.

Minimum Requirements

+ High School diploma or equivalent.

+ One of the following:

+ 60 college credits

+ Associate’s degree

+ Paraprofessional license

+ At least 1–2 years of behavioral experience (pediatric experience preferred).

+ Must be at least 18 years old.

+ Current CPR certification (if applicable).

+ TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable).

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.

+ Must live within 20 minutes of the school.

+ Must complete fingerprinting in Tennessee prior to starting.
