Job Title: Behavioral Technician / Paraprofessional
Pay Rate: $22/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM (unpaid breaks)
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: End of School Year
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Behavioral Technician (BT) or Paraprofessional to join our team at Edna Keith Elementary. This is an in-person role supporting K–5th grade students in a high behavioral needs classroom. Candidates must have experience with CPI and working with students who have significant behavioral challenges.
Responsibilities:
+ Provide one-on-one support for a kindergarten student in an inclusion classroom.
+ Assist in managing classroom behavior and implementing individualized strategies.
+ Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.
Requirements:
+ Illinois Paraprofessional License (Required)
+ BT certification or paraprofessional qualification.
+ Minimum 2 years of experience working in school settings.
+ Strong background in CPI and high behavioral needs.
+ Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
Details:
+ Caseload: K–5 students, high behavioral needs classroom.
+ Hours: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday.
+ Breaks: Unpaid.
+ Duration: ASAP through end of school year.
