    Special Education Teacher – High School

     

    School Year: 2025–2026

     

    Start Date: ASAP

    Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM

    Hours: 37.5–40 per week

    Position Overview

    Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking certified Special Education Teachers to provide instruction in Employability Courses for grades 9–12 at Southside High School. Each classroom includes an aide and a planning period. Responsibilities include lesson planning, instruction, grading, student supervision, and maintaining compliance for SPED (writing IEPs and conducting IEP meetings).

    Requirements

    + SC Special Education Certification REQUIRED

    + Bachelor’s degree preferred

    + Minimum 1 year teaching experience preferred

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

    + CPR, TB screening, and health certificate as applicable

    Contract Details

    + Duration: Full 2025–2026 school year

    + Shift: Daytime, Monday–Friday

    + Orientation: Virtual interviews with district POC or school principal
