About the role

As an API Automation Tester with Cypress/Playwright, you will make an impact by ensuring high-quality software delivery through robust automation testing practices. You will be a valued member of our Quality Engineering team and collaborate closely with product managers, business stakeholders, and offshore teams to deliver exceptional results.

In this role, you will:

• Design and execute automation test scripts for UI and API using Cypress/Playwright.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and execution.

• Collaborate with onsite and offshore teams to align on requirements and deliverables.

• Coordinate with clients and product owners to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage.

• Prepare test plans, test cases, and test data for in-scope user stories.

• Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 4 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Atlanta, GA. What you need to have to be considered

• 8+ years of experience in Quality Engineering and Assurance.

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in UI and API automation using Cypress/Playwright, Mocha, Chai, JavaScript, TypeScript, Cucumber, and related tools.

• Strong experience with CI/CD tools and test management platforms such as JIRA and ALM.

• Proven ability to lead and coordinate onsite/offshore teams and manage client communications.

• Experience working in Agile environments and Banking domain projects.

• Expertise in creating allure reports and advanced automation frameworks.

• Strong interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication.

• Ability to drive regression automation and in-sprint automation effectively.

• Familiarity with emerging automation trends and best practices.
