Cognizant is seeking a Desktop Engineering/End User Computing Administrator for a full-time opportunity in Richmond, VA. This is an onsite position. Qualified candidates must have valid US work authorization. Cognizant is unable to offer visa sponsorships for this role.
Responsibilities:
+ Provide day-to-day support for desktops, laptops, and associated peripherals.
+ Configure Devices, Configure BIOS and hardware settings. Troubleshooting and resolving End to End operating system management include settings , VPN Services, Software compatibility issues, Testing and system drivers.
+ Configure all applications on End User Devices included within the core image and any layered applications approved Configure all collaboration tools and network connectivity settings
+ Handle Data backup, imaging, reimaging /restoration of data on all end user computing devices.
+ Deployment Configuration Use tools like MECM, Intune for imaging, installations, and updates. Manage and Update Windows OS Feature update.
+ Troubleshoot OS, application, and patching issues. Application Packaging Create MSI MST packages using Install shield or equivalent tools Manage Software deployment from MECM /Intune.
+ Perform Software distribution for all conventional devices, which includes Windows and Mac computers and virtual Devices
+ Manage and maintain the System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM) environment including its Microsoft SUS infrastructure for software distribution, including infrastructure required for End-Users to self-Install applications via SCCM/MECM.
+ Troubleshoot Package installation from MECM/Intune.
+ Good understanding of files/registries and ability to troubleshoot Windows OS related issues.
+ Package all applications in accordance with the software distribution process as set forth by CarMax policies Perform base testing to verify package functionality before delivering UAT
+ Provide support for application developers whose applications may conflict with group policy object GPO settings and configurations in the IT environment
+ Provide support for packaged applications including working with application owners around issues discovered with packaged applications in UAT and Production Provide End-User and application area support for installation Problems
+ Knowledge of Power shell/Ansible scripting
+ App Deploy toolkit to create install un-install Deployment scripts. Asset Lifecycle Management
+ Manage IT assets, laptop lifecycle, and maintain accurate records in ITSM tools. Resolve hardware and software problems, including network connectivity.
+ Support peripheral devices such as printers, docking stations, monitors, and MS Teams-enabled rooms. Documentation Compliance, Maintain knowledge base and standard operating procedures.
• Follow ITIL best practices for incident, problem, and change management. Guide users on re imaging and troubleshooting processes. Provide training and support for hardware/software usage
Qualifications:
+ Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows OS hardware and network issues.
+ Experience with MECM Endpoint Administration Intune Image management and patch management.
+ Strong Knowledge MSI Application Packaging InstallShield Intune packaging
+ Knowledge on Power shell or Ansible scripting.
+ Good to have knowledge of Active Directory Azure AD and Office 365.
+ Ability to support mobile devices iOS Android and remote access tools VPN Citrix.
+ Excellent communication and customer service skills.
