Special Education Teacher – $53/hr – Portland, OR – Full-Time

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide quality services to middle school students. This role includes planning and implementing individualized programs, providing specialized instruction, and collaborating with general education staff.

Assignment Details:

+ Location: Portland, OR

+ Start Date: December 10, 2025

+ End Date: End of 2025–2026 School Year

+ Schedule: Monday–Friday

+ Hours: 37.5 hrs/week

+ Duration: Approximately 7 months

+ Pay Rate: $53/hr

+ Modality: In-person

+ Openings: 1

+ Caseload: ~25 students

+ Shift Times: Standard school hours

Responsibilities:

+ Provide specialized instruction in push-in/pull-out settings

+ Deliver 1:1 and small group instruction

+ Collaborate with general education teachers and staff

+ Maintain compliance with IEPs and district guidelines

Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s degree (preferred)

+ Valid state teaching certificate (Special Education endorsement preferred)

+ Minimum 1 year of Special Education teaching experience

+ Current CPR (if applicable)

+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest X-ray (if applicable)

+ Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
