Corrections Registered Nurse (RN) – Juvenile Justice Facility

Pay Rate: $50 per hour (local)

Contract Length: 13 weeks (possibility to renew)

Schedule

+ Shift: Monday–Friday, 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM

+ No weekends

+ On-call rotation during non-working hours required

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Corrections RN to join our team at a juvenile justice facility. This role is ideal for nurses who are confident working independently and thrive in dynamic environments. You will collaborate with direct care staff and provide essential healthcare services to adolescents in a secure setting.

You will be the only nurse on-site for part of your shift, so strong clinical judgment and autonomy are key. While you’ll have excellent resources and support, you must feel comfortable working in a correctional environment and using EHR systems and telehealth equipment.

Required Experience

Candidates should have experience in one or more of the following areas:

+ Adolescent or pediatric nursing

+ School or public health nursing

+ Correctional healthcare

+ Emergency nursing practice

Minimum Requirements

+ Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice

+ Minimum 1 year of correctional healthcare experience preferred

+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
