NJR Home Services, a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources is seeking a Permits Coordinator to expedite permits for all residential and commercial HVAC installations, electrical and plumbing, as per Uniform Construction Code.
Major Responsibilities:
+ Expedite permits to applicable municipalities.
+ Work with said municipalities on the return of permit packages.
+ Input related information into system.
+ Maintain and report on status of permits. Communicates with supervisor on an ongoing basis regarding permit workload, status, and need to know issues.
+ Respond to related customer inquiries.
+ Resolve permit-related issues with municipalities and/or customers in a timely manner.
+ Maintain log for all permits filed.
+ Proactively contacts customers to follow-up on work performed.
+ Schedule final inspections with the township as necessary.
+ Send out letters for final inspections.
+ Work accordingly with Sales and Installation Departments
+ Maintain an updated data base of town requirements and shares this information with the sales and installation department.
+ Provide related support to Operations and Workload Departments. Also provides cross functional support of marketing, sales and financial functions as needed.
+ Provide back-up support to Administrative staff as needed.
Position Requirements:
+ Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED.
+ A minimum of 3-5 years of related experience is required.
+ Experience processing permit applications for a municipality is preferred.
+ Knowledge of the Uniform Construction Code (UCC).
+ Strong verbal and written communications skills.
+ Command of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
+ Detail-oriented and highly-organized with the ability to multitask.

Other Details:
Compensation: Expected base pay range for this role will be $59,000- $75,200.
Base pay is based on several factors including, experience, skills, and knowledge.
This role will be eligible to participate in an annual short term incentive program.
