Principal Accountabilities:

+ Operate powered equipment or engines to move rail cars into and through the yard

+ Operate control panels or switchboards to manage loading and unloading machines and equipment for various bulk materials from trucks, trains, and water vessels or tanks, following established guidelines

+ Monitor loading and unloading processes, adhere to standard operating procedures, and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient and reliable operations

+ Perform manual preparations for loading and unloading; complete inspections, documentation, and quality records both manually and electronically as required

+ Comply with all safety policies and procedures, including equipment lockout/tagout protocols

+ Promote and support a culture of zero fatalities, injuries, and illnesses

+ Identify and proactively mitigate environmental impacts and potential business risks

+ Perform general plant tasks with minimal supervision

+ Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

+ Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer

+ Cargill requires employees to be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility

+ Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)

+ Basic use of a computer

+ Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions, which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

+ Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)

+ Ability to perform physical job duties, which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without a reasonable accommodation

+ Ability to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice

Preferred Qualifications:

+ High school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years of equivalent work experience

+ Must be able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment.

+ At least 1 year of experience operating heavy equipment such as a front-end loader or wheel loader

+ Driver’s License

+ Experience with SAP or a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

+ Working knowledge of inventory systems
