Required Education/Experience

+ Master's Degree and 6 years' related experience or

+ Bachelor's Degree and 8 years' related experience

Preferred Education/Experience

+ Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science,

+ Safety, Engineering, Physical Science, or a related field and 8 years' experience (including 3 years of relevant EH&S experience)

+ Master's Degree in Environmental Science,

+ Safety, Engineering,

+ Physical Science, Business or a related field and 6 years (including 3 years of EH&S experience)

Relevant Work Experience

+ 5-7 years Supervisory and/or managerial experience Required

+ Must have 6 to 10 years related experience Required

+ Demonstrated ability to obtain results Required

+ Must successfully complete training in the Corporate EH&S Procedures within two (2) years of assignment Required

+ Must be highly motivated individual, demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence, and understand the vital importance of personal accountability Required

+ Ability to successfully complete multiple tasks without compromising quality or timelines Required

+ Must be able to develop concepts into successful safety and environmental programs Required

+ Ability to effectively interact with customers, support staff, regulatory agencies, and various levels of management Required

+ Initiate and champion change and have the ability to influence and persuade others in order to improve work practices/processes Required

+ Must be able to deliver exemplary customer service and develop a team spirited work environment in support of Con Edison's Corporate Values Required

+ Must demonstrate proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets and/or an ability to quickly become proficient with database packages including Microsoft Office (including Teams), EMIS, SHIMS, and Maximo Required

Physical Demands

+ Ability to respond to system emergencies

+ Able to work in all weather conditions, i.e. excessive heat and/or cold

+ Ability to climb ladders and stairs

+ Ability to work in inclement weather and adverse conditions (i.e., excessive heat, cold, noise, confined spaces)

+ Ability to travel to company locations to work on storm restoration and heat contingencies

+ Wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), i.e. fire-retardant clothing and safety harnesses

Additional Physical Demands

+ The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

+ Must be able and willing to travel within O&R and CECONY service territory, as needed.
