As the **HRIS Senior Project Manager/Analyst** , you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of HR systems, optimizing operations, and delivering solutions that empower leaders, employees, and teams across the enterprise.

     

    This role is ideal for a systems-minded problem solver who thrives in collaboration, leads with curiosity, and is driven to create meaningful operational improvements. You will partner closely with HR, Finance, and KC One IT to elevate Workday functionality, streamline processes, and ensure our technology evolves with organizational needs.

     

    What You’ll Do

    Lead Strategic HRIS Initiatives

    + Collaborate with HR leaders, teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to gather and document requirements, identify system issues, and propose enhancements.

    + Lead or actively contribute to departmental projects, ensuring goals, timelines, and outcomes are well-managed and achieved.

    + Partner with IT and Finance to drive coordinated system improvements and participate in governance processes for Workday-related changes.

    Optimize and Improve HR Technology

    + Identify opportunities to enhance business processes, maximize Workday functionality, and improve workflow efficiency.

    + Guide and support team members on executing improvements and facilitate knowledge transfer across the HR Systems team.

    Enhance Data Integrity and Reporting

    + Conduct analysis, identify trends, and develop models and reports focused on data quality and system-driven improvements.

    + Support system testing, create and maintain test scripts, and ensure successful transitions through system updates.

    Strengthen HRIS Strategy, Training, and Engagement

    + Collaborate with HR leadership to assess training needs and develop process documentation and training materials.

    + Facilitate both scheduled and ad hoc presentations or trainings to strengthen end-user competency.

    + Partner with the Senior Director to shape the short- and long-term HRIS strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

    Champion Service, Integrity, and Excellence

    + Build strong partnerships across KC One IT and HR functions to maintain service quality and client satisfaction.

    + Promote quality improvement, cultural diversity, compliance, and organizational values through daily work.

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or an equivalent combination of related coursework and experience

    + 5+ years’ experience with HR business processes, software, and/or hardware

    + Workday system experience and/or training

    + Strong understanding of HR operations and employee data management

    + Demonstrated project management experience

    + Analytical skills to evaluate system needs and recommend solutions

    + Ability to define technical/user needs and translate them into actionable improvements

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation capability

    + Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment

    + Ability to learn and adopt new technologies

    + Proficiency in Microsoft applications

    Preferred Qualifications

    + 5–7 years’ experience in Workday support and business process configuration

    + PMC Certification

    + Experience with Workday reporting and dashboards

    + 2–3 years’ experience in an HR systems or process leadership role, specifically within Workday

    + Experience with additional reporting systems

    + Knowledge of other HR systems
