    Job Description

    The Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance (ZDLRA) Automation Team is responsible for delivering robust automation frameworks for the ZDLRA platform and Oracle Database Zero Data Loss Cloud Protect, and is looking for talented developers to join their innovative group. In this role, you will focus on the end-to-end process of developing, architecting, and defining solutions, as well as overseeing the delivery of enterprise-scale automation products. You will be instrumental in designing technical architectures, implementing state-of-the-art solutions, and ensuring the successful deployment and integration of automation frameworks within the ZDLRA ecosystem.

     

    We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Software Developer to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging, enterprise-level projects, collaborating with talented professionals in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise across the software development lifecycle, a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions, and a willingness to stay ahead of the curve with emerging technologies.

    Responsibilities

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Drive and actively participate in the resolution of complex technical issues by developing solutions to complex problems and incidents.

    + Collaborate across teams and products to define, and create AI solutions to increase customer and cloud operational success and improved efficiency

    + Provide mentorship to peer staff.

    + Solve complex challenges in the form of both short- and long-term solutions.

    + Create and deliver best practices recommendations, code, and collaborate on technical documents.

    + Integral in ensuring the user experience for the ZDLRA is simple, reliable, and easy to operate.

    + Participate in the design, architecture, and execution of automation for large-scale Oracle Database Backup and Recovery features

    + Participate in research and prototyping (proof of concept) different aspects of the Recovery Appliance automation.

    + Solve complex and difficult problems and build automation to prevent problem recurrence.

    Required Qualifications:

    + At least a bachelor’s degree, in Computer Science, MIS or another technical field, or equivalent work experience.

    + Software development languages (Java,SQL, PL/SQL, Python, Perl, Shell)

    + 5+ years of experience managing or developing with the Oracle Database

    + Experience in creating APEX applications and ORDS RESTful Interfaces

    + Experience troubleshooting complex systems.

    + Very strong analytical skills to identify problems root cause.

    + Great verbal and written communication skills.

    + Working knowledge and/or experience with RMAN

    + Working knowledge and/or experience with Oracle databases including RAC, Data Guard, Oracle GI (clusterware, ASM), RMAN

    + Working knowledge and/or experience with Oracle Exadata and Oracle ZDLRA strongly preferred.

    + Proven ability to quickly learn new technical domains and then train others.

    US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

     

    Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

     

    Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

    10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
