    Fraud Specialist

    FlexStaff is seeking a Fraud Specialist for our client, a full-service banking institution, located in Bethpage, NY.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Independently review, examine, and resolve fraud and merchant dispute claims.

    + Monitor member activity and use fraud detection tools to identify and act on potential fraud, escalating emerging trends.

    + Contact members as needed to verify information and respond to escalations/complaints.

    + Maintain accurate case management systems and monitor fraud tool performance.

    + Provide essential support to branches, Contact Center representatives, and other internal fraud/risk teams.

    + Participate in risk initiatives and identify potential risk exposures.

    + Engage in ongoing training to stay ahead of fraud trends and mitigation strategies.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Bachelor's Degree (preferred).

    + 1-2 years comparable experience in fraud, loss mitigation, financial crime, risk management, or financial services.

    + Solid understanding of banking practices, policies, and regulations.

    + Meets requirements for obtaining Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and/or Certified Financial Crimes Investigator (CFCI) certifications.

    + Strong risk analysis skills.

    + Exceptional attention to detail and ability to analyze transaction monitoring rules.

    + Strong collaboration skills to work effectively across business units.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    + Professional presentation and demeanor.

    + Proven ability to multitask with a high degree of accuracy.

    + High level of self-direction and initiative.

    The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).

     

    The salary range for this position is $25.72-$30.22/hour
