    Description

    Job Summary:

    Centrotherm Eco Systems is looking for an experienced individual to fill a mid-level product design & testing engineering position. The individual will join our engineering department reporting to the Engineering Manager. The ideal candidate is responsible for advanced design and testing of new products to enhance our product offerings.

    Job duties:

    + Lead creation and execution of design verification plans.

    + Responsible for driving key KPI targets for continuous improvement and project success.

    + Develop advanced test procedures, set-ups/rigs, documentation, and lab reports.

    + Solve complex problems using advanced engineering analysis, critical thinking, and creativity.

    + Gain deep knowledge of industry codes and standards.

    + Lead execution of design failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).

    + Effectively communicate with our customer base, from OEMs to homeowners.

    + Understand customer needs deeply and translate them into technical requirements.

    + Communicate customer requirements to other team members effectively.

    + Lead the development of new products to meet OEM specifications utilizing target cost methodology.

    + Ensure production methods/limitations are considered in the design.

    + Lead material sourcing efforts.

    + Create detailed part drawings and BOM utilizing Creo.

    + Oversee the manufacturing team in the production of “first articles.”

    + Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on projects.

    + Perform other duties, projects, and assignments as needed.

    Requirements

    Experience and Required Skill:

    + Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent discipline from an accredited university.

    + 3-6 years of work-related experience.

    + Proficiency in advanced 3D computer-aided design software; experience with Creo is required.

    + Extensive familiarity with lab testing equipment and procedures.

    + In-depth exposure to UL-1738, ULC-S636, ANSI Z21, and NFPA 54.

    + Mastery of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

    + Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize high-value projects.

    + Strong leadership and mentoring skills.

    + Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.

    + Occasionally be required to lift and or move up to 25 pounds.

    + Frequently Sitting, standing, walking, keyboarding

    + Required to wear Safety Glasses & Steel/Composite toe shoes while in Warehouse or Manufacturing Areas
