    We’re Hiring! Join our team as a Full-Time Hazardous Waste Technician

     

    • Location: Hampton VA

    • **Hourly Rate: $20.08 (Paid Weekly)**

    • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

     

    The Hazardous Waste Technician demonstrate sufficient waste management knowledge (DOT, RCRA, EPA) to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for the 90 day Hazardous Waste Cage. This includes, but is not limited to, container management, labeling, determination of compatibilities, grounding, inspections, inventories, markings, container condition, and time limits. The position also requires familiarity of Howmet Hampton emergency response procedures and maintenance of emergency response materials. Forklift experience preferred.

     

    Pay: $20.08 per hour - $20.08 per hour​

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Must be 18 years of age or older

    • No experience required and on the job training provided

    • No high school diploma, GED or college degree required

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • One (1) year of similar work experience

    Responsibilities:

    • Complete assigned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance repairs requiring conveyor, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, instrumentation, HVAC and other equipment, systems or structures

    • Ensure repairs and maintenance to all equipment and facilities

    • Respond to spills and other emergency situations, performing janitorial and maintenance tasks as necessary

    • Assist in client, site or customer emergencies as needed
