    Job Description:

    POSITION PURPOSE

    This position is located at our Headquarters location in Bismarck, ND.

    As an Organizational Development Specialist, you’ll work independently to design and deliver innovative, enterprise-wide initiatives that elevate performance, strengthen culture, and grow talent at every level.

     

    You’ll build and manage dynamic programs in performance management, leadership development, and employee engagement—helping people do their best work and leaders make their best decisions. Acting as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, you’ll align people strategies with big-picture goals and help steer the organization toward long-term success.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES

    + Design and implement comprehensive talent management, performance management and learning and development frameworks to build future leadership pipelines.

    + Lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of advanced leadership and professional development programs that align with strategic priorities.

    + Develop and oversee organizational assessments, diagnostics, and data-driven recommendations to measure effectiveness of programs and inform decision-making.

    + Oversee the design, integration, and continuous improvement of the Learning Management System (LMS), talent management and performance management platforms.

    + Advise and mentor junior OD team members, providing coaching and thought leadership in instructional design, facilitation, and change enablement.

    + Build partnerships with educational institutions, training vendors, and professional associations to enhance development offerings and strengthen organizational learning capacity.

    + Lead organizational employee engagement efforts include survey planning, communication efforts, platform & data management, report out and action planning efforts.

    + Advanced project and program management skills, ability to identify and manage vendors and deliver outcomes to achieve department and cooperative initiatives.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    + Bachelor’s degree in organizational development, industrial/organizational psychology, human resources, business administration, or a related field; and 7 years of progressively responsible and related experience.

    + A valid driver’s license.

    + Travel up to 10%.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    + Experience with instructor led content and facilitation.

    + Experience with Gallup engagement survey and platform tools.

    + Experience leveraging LMS and HR analytics for program evaluation and reporting.

    + Certifications such as, SHRM-SCP, Prosci Change Practitioner, 360 Assessment Tool, or ATD credentials.

    + SAP/SuccessFactors experience.

    PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

    This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position and to move about the office building; occasionally reaching above and below shoulder level; constant use of a keyboard/computer and other office productivity machinery; bending, kneeling, lifting/carrying up to 10 pounds, and pushing/pulling up to 20 pounds. It also requires finger dexterity and hand coordination.

    KEY SKILLS

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    + Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

    + Ability to manage projects and deliver outcomes independently.

    + Instructional design, facilitation, and evaluation.

    + Enterprise-level OD project and program management.

    + Advanced consultation and facilitation experience with executive level leadership.

    + Strategic program design and needs analysis diagnostics.

    + Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data to inform talent decisions.

    + High-level communication, influence, and relationship-building skills.

    + Proficiency in LMS administration, performance management systems, and digital learning tools.

    + Ability to lead through ambiguity and drive culture transformation.
