    The Corporate Real Estate Representative provides real estate expertise and transaction management to Caterpillar Business Units across the globe, including site selection, acquisition, disposition and leasing of new manufacturing, warehousing, office, and specialty facilities by working with brokers, landlords, property owners and other internal/external service providers. Consulting scope includes research, competitive search management, negotiations, and real estate transactions.

    What You Will Do:

    + Communicate with assigned business units worldwide on all aspects of real estate transactions.

    + Communicate with various Caterpillar departments including legal, accounting treasury insurance, tax, facility planning, and public affairs to properly carry out transactions.

    + Communicate with external brokers and consultants, conduct property searches, identify alternative solutions and provide recommendations for lease terms. Travel as necessary to evaluate properties and complete projects.

    + Negotiate deal terms and conditions with counterparties.

    What You Have:

    + **Effective Communications:** Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

    + **Negotiating:** Knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques; ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner.

    + **Collaborating Globally:** Knowledge of effective collaboration techniques and ability to build networks with people from different countries and cultures, think and work with them to bring positive impact and flourishing business results.

    + **Project Management:** Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.

    What Will Set You Apart:

    + College degree, or several years of related experience in commercial and industrial real estate or related field.

    + 3+ years’ experience in commercial and industrial real estate

    + Professional licensure as a real estate broker

    + Demonstrated ability to handle multiple, diverse assignments and to complete projects within schedule constraints with minimal direct supervision.

    + Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

    + Experience in commercial contract negotiations.

    + Understanding of site selection processes and the commercial real estate industry, including critical metrics, trends, market awareness, competitive procurement strategies, transaction methods, and best practices.

    **Additional Information** :

    + The primary location for this position is Peoria, IL or Irving, TX

    + Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify.

    + Sponsorship is **not** available.

    + International and Domestic travel up to 15%

    Summary Pay Range:

    $95,640.00 - $143,520.00

     

    Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
