We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual who will both actively contribute to and lead our Artificial Intelligence (AI) efforts within FCSD. In this pivotal role, you will apply your technical expertise directly to our AI solutions, manage a talented team of professionals, and ensure our work delivers significant business impact while aligning with our organizational goals. This position requires a strong blend of hands-on technical contribution, effective team leadership, and the ability to manage complex projects to advance FCSD's capabilities.

In this role, you will actively contribute to and lead AI initiatives by:

+ Directly Engaging in AI Solution Development: Ensuring alignment with FCSD’s priorities through active technical involvement.

+ Leading and Developing a Team: Guiding and mentoring a team of AI professionals, fostering their growth and ensuring high performance.

+ Overseeing and Contributing to Solution Design: Directing the design, development, and deployment of AI solutions, while also providing hands-on input, focusing on scalability and reliability.

+ Driving Business Integration: Collaborating closely with business and technology stakeholders to integrate AI into our core offerings, delivering measurable outcomes.

+ Specifically, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Project Oversight \& Management

+ Actively participate in and oversee FCSD’s AI efforts, focusing on areas like Generative AI, Agentic AI, and advanced Data Science.

+ Partner with business leaders to translate complex challenges into effective, scalable AI solutions that deliver significant impact, often by contributing to initial solution architecture and technical feasibility.

+ Manage the delivery for AI initiatives, ensuring alignment with broader enterprise priorities.

+ Establish clear success metrics and drive accountability through thoughtful forecasting, goal setting, and performance analysis.

Team Leadership \& Development

+ Lead, mentor, and develop a team of AI professionals, fostering an environment of collaboration and continuous improvement.

+ Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support career development plans for team members.

+ Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices within the team and across relevant communities.

+ Participate in the recruitment process to attract and onboard skilled AI talent.

AI Technical Leadership & Contribution

+ Provide hands-on technical leadership and clear guidance by actively participating in solution design, model development, and deployment processes.

+ Lead technical and design reviews to ensure our solutions are robust, scalable, and adhere to best practices.

+ Directly contribute to and direct advanced AI research efforts to accelerate product capabilities and innovation.

+ Set high standards for architecture, MLOps (Machine Learning Operations), and software engineering quality within our AI practices.

Driving Results

+ Take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of AI products and services, from initial concept to production, often by directly contributing to critical technical components, in partnership with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams.

+ Influence product direction by providing data-driven insights and compelling executive presentations.

+ Ensure efficient development and deployment cycles, consistently delivering high-quality and reliable AI solutions at scale through direct involvement and oversight.

Core Technical Expertise

+ Strong understanding of cloud-based AI platforms (like GCP, Azure) and modern Machine Learning frameworks (such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras).

+ Demonstrated experience in guiding the design and implementation of complete ML pipelines, covering data input, model creation, and deployment.

+ Proficiency in essential development tools like Python, containerization (Docker), and version control (Git).

+ Deep expertise in Generative AI frameworks, Agentic AI applications, and advanced Machine Learning algorithms.

+ Ability to apply robust software engineering principles to AI development for scalable, maintainable solutions.

+ Hands-on experience with large-scale data processing, model optimization, and production deployment.

You'll have...

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Predictive Analytics, Statistics, AI, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

+ 4+ years of experience leading, managing, and mentoring direct reports.

+ Proven ability to foster team growth, manage performance, and promote a collaborative working environment.

+ Proven hands-on experience in Generative AI and Agentic AI applications, with a track record of successfully delivering and scaling multiple AI solutions in production environments.

+ 5+ years of hands-on, practical experience with AI/ML and data science tools (e.g., Python-based), including Generative AI or Agentic AI.

+ 4+ years acting as a senior technical guide, actively facilitating solution discussions and making technical decisions for new AI feature implementations.

+ Experience utilizing cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and enterprise AI platforms.

+ Demonstrated proficiency in Gen AI technologies and modern ML frameworks.

+ Recognition for contributions in AI.

+ A PhD in a related field (e.g., Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, AI).

+ Advanced knowledge of predictive analytical methods (e.g., Simulation, Design of Experiments, Genetic Algorithms, Ensemble Methods, Naïve Bayes, Neural Networks, Regression, Image Processing, NLP).

+ Specific expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

+ Strong expertise in open-source data science technologies such as Python, R, Spark, SQL.
