    Job Summary and Qualifications

     

    The Transplant Assistant provides patient support in accordance with established policies and procedures of Medical City Fort Worth. In collaboration with the medical staff, patients, patient’s family and other members of the health care team. The Transplant Assistant is responsible for utilizing a holistic and interdisciplinary approach to coordinate the care of recipients in the Renal Transplant program. In addition, the Transplant Assistant may also be responsible coordinating care from application through transplant. The Transplant Assistant will also collaborate care with other disciplines and providers as it relates to the needs of the recipient for transplant. The Transplant Assistant will interact with the Dialysis community as part of the transplant team.

     

    The Transplant Assistant provides support for the solid organ transplant team, greets patients, visitors to our medical office, triages all phone calls into our Transplant Clinic, triages and processes messages from all patients, provides assistance to patients as needed, manages inventory of necessary office supplies and coordinates ordering, ensures the reception area remains welcoming and organized, patients transfers within the facility, facilitates patient flow by notifying the provider and clinical staff of any patient delays, collects and provides data entry consistent with established quality and integrity standards, maintains patient confidentiality, supports medical record integrity, schedules clinic appointments and hospital testing, coordinates referrals to consulting services, provides clinical and phlebotomy services and all other duties as assigned.

    What qualifications you will need:

    1-2 years clerical or medical office experience Preferred

     

    Ability to work independently Required

     

    Strong oral and written skills Strong organizational and time management skills to ensure patient flow

     

    Ability to deal effectively with others

     

    Computer proficiency
