As a **Security Officer - Retail Patrol Team** in **Tampa, FL** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a welcoming presence to guests and tenants. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the retail or mall location by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall premises and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and monitor for any irregularities.

+ Observe and report any suspicious activities, hazards, or unusual circumstances to the appropriate personnel and/or authorities as required.

+ Assist with access control, verifying credentials of individuals entering restricted areas, and monitoring entrances and exits as needed.

+ Work closely with property management and/or store personnel to address security-related concerns and provide support as needed.

+ Complete detailed and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and daily activities according to Allied Universal requirements.

+ Remain alert and attentive while on duty, adapting to changing conditions and assignments throughout the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

+ At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.

+ Lifting up to 20 pounds is preferred.

+ Experience in loss prevention is preferred.

+ Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ A guard card or license is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
